Rava Banana Cake Without Oven

This rava banana cake without oven is a soft, moist, and beginner-friendly dessert that can be made easily in a pressure cooker. No eggs, no oven, and no complicated steps – perfect for tea-time or evening snacks.





 INGREDIENTS

  • Rava (semolina) – 1 cup

  • Ripe banana – 2 (mashed)

  • Sugar – ¾ cup (adjust to taste)

  • Curd – ½ cup

  • Oil – ¼ cup

  • Baking soda – ½ tsp

  • Baking powder – 1 tsp

  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

  • Salt – a pinch

  • Chopped nuts or chocolate chips – optional

 HOW TO MAKE RAVA BANANA CAKE (PRESSURE COOKER)

  1. Dry roast rava on low flame until slightly aromatic. Let it cool.

  2. In a bowl, mash bananas well. Add sugar and mix until dissolved.

  3. Add curd, oil, and cardamom powder. Mix well.

  4. Add roasted rava, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Mix gently to a smooth batter. Rest for 10 minutes.

  6. Grease a cake tin and pour the batter.

  7. Preheat pressure cooker for 5 minutes (without whistle & water).

  8. Place cake tin on a stand, cover and cook for 35–40 minutes on low flame.

  9. Check using toothpick. Cool completely before cutting.


 SERVING SUGGESTIONS

  • Serve with tea or coffee

  • Sprinkle powdered sugar on top

  • Tastes better the next day

  • Replace sugar with jaggery powder
