Ingredients

  • 250–300 g shrimp (prawns), cleaned and deveined

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 5–6 garlic cloves, finely minced

  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or coriander

Optional add-ons:

  • Paprika or smoked paprika

  • Grated parmesan

  • Splash of cream for richness


Method (Pan-Style)

  1. Pat shrimp dry with a paper towel.

  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a wide pan over medium heat.

  3. Add garlic and sauté for 20–30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).

  4. Add shrimp in a single layer.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and chilli flakes.

  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  7. Add lemon juice and toss well.

  8. Switch off heat and garnish with parsley.

  9. Serve immediately.
